Quote:sure the sentry is VERY powerful but why is he so feared by all?
can' he be beaten like anyone else?
i mean thor can be beaten and he is almost as powerful, so why him?
Quote:If the "Age of the Sentry" is in any way valid he literally has the world reshape itself to his subconscious desires. Which means you can blame ANYTHING on sentry too, anything.
Quote:Also AotS revealed sentry is no longer robert reynolds. He is a gangster (whose name I forgot) who was the original void who absorbed robrt reynolds powers and possibly personality.
Quote:Mind you marvel gave a thousand tags which they can use to retcon AotS ranging from the claim in the "story part" of it being an imaginary story to the part in the "solid 616" section where it was reed richards bedtime story to franklin (although one he made to explain the sentry and his powers, inconsistancies, and origins). But if what marvel had revealed in Age of the Sentry is in ANY way valid the sentry is the scaries force in the MU, a gangster deluded to think he is a hero who has the world subconsciously remold itself to his mindset. I can no longer laugh off claims as silly as "maybe sentry is the beyonder" as bad writing, because marvel opened the door where sentry can be, do, or be responsible for ANYTHING.
Quote:Oddly enough despite hating Sentry in the main 616 universe I liked all three of his limited series. (though AotS was tough to get into and took a few issues for it to grow on me). Though I must admit the ONLY good thing the sentry has brought to marvel is one of the weirdest "rogues galleries" in existence (assuming you ignore void, the classinc "dark reflection" villain, and general who should be a captain america villain).
Quote:FirstChAoS: when the marvel zombies meet the marvel apes they soon learn that "their is no wrong way to eat a rhesus".
