This post is, on some level, due to the horrifically cruel Kimura (for anyone who read this months X-force... she's honestly one of the vilalist villains I've ever read); who once again showed why she's beyond redemption in every way possible. This is also partly due to the "Ten Smartest" post. I thought a nice twist on it would be... well, nice. ;\) Really the list should be not just psychopaths (and not just your top ten most hated villains); but the ones who truly encapsulated the nastiest aspects of humanity.

For the purposes of this list, I'll only be considering mortal villains. Demons and devils like Cobweb and Mephisto are excluded.

1. The Red Skull, full stop. He's a freaking Nazi. 'Nuff said, as Stan would say.

2. Apocalypse. He's willing to plunge the whole world into a genocidal world war just to indulge his own sick philosophy.

3. Psyko, from the Sleepwalker comics. This guy was a serial killer before he got his powers, having cut out the hearts of between fourteen and eighteen women with a kitchen knife. After he was turned into Psyko, he gained the power to spread mass homicidal insanity, and literally drive people crazy just by looking at them, up to the point where they were willing to commit murder.

4. The Green Goblin. A mass murderer and master manipulator, obsessed not only with amassing power for himself, but getting off on the sheer terror he inspires in his victims. He doesn't just want to kill Spider-Man, he wants to destroy everything the web-head cares about.

5. The Marauders, as a group. Mister Sinister uses them to further his depraved agenda, but their real reason for committing mass murder and terror is...well, just for kicks, really.

6. Mister Hyde. He broke Jarvis apart literally one bone at a time, and it all went downhill from there.

7. Bullseye. Do I really have to explain this one?

8. Sabertooth. See previous comment.

9. Doctor Doom. Sure, he has a sense of honor and noblesse oblige, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a power-crazed tyrant who'll destroy anyone and anything that gets in his way.

10. The Kingpin. Al Capone and John Gotti only wished they were as powerful and dangerous as Mr. Wilson Fisk.
