Can anyone explain to me how they think the readers benefit from this?
1) Toned down stories Family theme.
2) Prices aren't going to drop.
3) The censors will be out. If Marvel attempts to publish a controversial storyline that might offend it's parent company can crush it because of bad publicity.
4) Does Disney really have any interest in Marvel's publishing aspect. Clearly owning the licensing rights to the characters and the ability to stick Spiderman's image on anything is worth more than the publishing part. I realize Warner owns DC and they are still publishing.
May not recognize it soon.
We will see. I forgot about Ron Pearlman wanting to make Marvel into the next Disney during the 90s and how he messed that up.
The company has come along way since then.
