-Really don't think Disney is going to intrude on the comic book publishing side of things. Unless, of course, Spider-Man starts rapiing people or Thor becomes a flaming sterotype. The big problem on the publishing end will be distribution. Marvel uses Diamond....Disney uses Harper....hrrmmmm.....THIS could cause chaos!

Distribution isn't just interesting. It could end the virtual monopoly that Diamond has on it, and Disney could maybe force some comics into more common places.

I doubt that Marvel's publishing will be affected at all. There's always been a certain degree of shameless promotion at Marvel, and I don't see that changing any time soon, regardless of who's in charge.

-Disney is interested in the liscensing side of things. Captain America toothbrushes, Aunt May's Wheat Cake batter, Cartoon cartoons cartoons! Disney right now pretty much cater to just little girls. Little boys, right now, don't have much Disney interest. Hannah Montana, HSM, Wizards of whatever, etc are all marketed towards tween girls. Marvel on their side they can infiltrate the tween and teen boy market.

Disney the company is different than Disney the film makers. The film makers/franchisers are family friendly. The company is a mega-congolomerate which caters to pretty much every possible demographic.

Them owning a comic book company basically gives them access to 40+years of story lines to base movies, television shows, straight to DVD movies, etc... on + anything from the future. With Disney, Marvel based movies can afford a dud or two every now and then so that A-list won't be the only thing out there.

-Disney is interested in the movie side of things. Guess they will absorb Marvel Studios. But you have problems with some movie properties. Sony is committed towards 3 more Spider-Man movies. Fox has perpetual rights to X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil. Which means as long as they keep making movies, the rights are theirs. Disney lawyers will earn their pay here. Look to Disney to buyout those contracts over the next few years.

You got that right. Even if there's nothing about the rights reverting back under any circumstances, Disney Legal could get it done.
