I can relate to your frustration, but I don't know if I'd agree with your "any Ghost Rider is better than no Ghost Rider" comment.

My all-time favorite Marvel character is, and always has been, the Sub-Mariner, but over the past 7 years each time they've put out a Sub-Mariner comic it has SUCKED! I couldn't even get myself to finish reading the "teen-angst love story" Namor series from about 7 years ago, and the recent one had crappy art, and barely a mention, let alone visual image of Namor in it....

I'm so tired of waiting for Marvel to publish a decent Sub-Mariner on-going series, like they had back in the 60s and 70s and even the John Byrne series from the 80s/90s. *sigh* But if they are going to publish crap, like the recent ones, I'd just prefer they didn't.

It's funny you mention the Sub-mariner. He's another one of my favorites. Saga of the Sub-Mariner is one of my all time favorite stories and I loved Byrne's run on Namor.

Didn't read the teen one, but I thought Sub-mariner Revolutions was a good mini (although I was a little irked by Namor having a son when he's supposed to be sterile but I think that's a forgivable continuity screw up).

To me Namor is one of the few characters that Marvel has made any kind of progress with. They reverted him back to his more arrogant self, but now Atlanteans are spread across the surface world and Namor is on the X-men (which I think is a cool idea).
