Just to set the foundation for the complaints I'm about to make, I'm a huge fan of Ghost Rider and Hellstorm from their 90's series.

I am also a huge GR fan. Loved the 90's series even with its strange continuity.

So when Marvel made Johnny Blaze the Ghost Rider again I a little bit surprised but figured "any Ghost Rider is better than no Ghost Rider".

I was fine with it. The end of volume 1 with Blaze was amazing. So seeing him as a hybrid Rider was good for me.

Then, in the beginning of Way's run they took rearranged continuity back to Blaze having sold his soul to Satan. A generic Satan that's nowhere near as interesting as Mephisto. But I figured "there's always been a interchangeable quality to the demons of the marvel universe". So okay.

I was a bit sad about that part more than anything to be honest. I really do not understand why not just keep Mephisto around. He is already well established, no other really big problems or hurdles. He is already there with strong ties to the Rider.

Then Way made Ghost Rider an angel, which made absolutely no sense, but Aaron came along and put that idea to the best possible use. IMO, nobody has done as much with Ghost Rider as much as Aaron has for the exception of Mackie.

He was an angel in the 90's series too if you remember how things ended with the Angel of Death thing. So it is not totally out there really. It made the most sense for the Pennence Stare and everything else. I was completly fine with that. I had more of an issue with Way just telling the same story forever. And then in the end Lucifer not seeming like that big of a threat. Aaron is a really good writter for GR, bringing in villans from the original and 90's series and making some sense of the whole thing.

I am not a huge fan of every country getting a GR but that is just me I guess. I have really liked the series. I will miss it after the mini.

And now, we have Hellstorm who is reverted back to being just a excorcist again and no longer the king of hell and I have to ask why? Prince of Lies was so brilliant with far more story potential than Hellstorm as an exorcist.

I only vaguely remember him taking Hell. It seems like it is a rotating door of rulers. GR was even in charge at one point.

I was gonna send this as a letter to Marvel but I realized I can't really blame Aaron for this. So far he's worked with continuity to build this story and to explain things which is far than we got when marvel gave Black Panther a confusing reboot a few years ago after Christopher Priest phenomenal run (another marvel decision that caused me a little frustration).

Aaron did a pretty good job considering how complicated GR continuity is with everything. He gave alot of other inside jokes at various times in the series too.

I just kinda needed to vent.
