Boring is a matter of the writer. Fred Ven Lente has wrote ALpha Flight characters real well recently in Hercules and the Wolverine oneshot recently. I actually think some of the X-titles suck. New AVengers as well. Personally, I think GoTG and Initiative have been one of the top 4 books out consistently over the last year or so

The point I'm still trying to stress here but that apparantly keeps evading people is that it doesnt matter if I think the title is boring and you think its great - what matters is that the audience in general dont seem to care about the concept or its characters.

You pick ten random comic fans and ask them what they thing about Alpha and youre likely to get a rather muted response. Do the same and ask them about the Avengers or the X-Men and youre likely to get a much more positive response.

It doesnt matter that YOU dont think the Avengers are interesting because theres about 150,000 people who disagree with you on a monthly basis. The same sadly cannot be said about Alpha no matter how great you think they are on a personal level.

I said before I'm trying to step away from the "I love Alpha Flight so of course it can be a success" arguments and deal with how Marvel could give them the kind of general appeal to gain them enough readers to make them a sustainable prospect.
