Judging not the amount of work, but the quality of the body of work they did, do you think the follwing writers & artists did better work for Marvel or for DC? And why?

Jack Kirby
Steve Englehart
Keith Giffin
Geoff Johns
Roy Thomas
George Perez
The Kubert Brothers
Jim Starlin
John Byrne
Jim Lee
Neal Adams
Chris Claremont
Walt Simonson
Louise Simonson
Roger Stern
Marv Wolfman
Frank Miller

*and remember there are no right or wrong answers...just right opinions*

Jack Kirby: 1960's Marvel hands down...

Steve Englehart: I'll vote Marvel, his work on the Avengers and FF were pretty decent.

Keith Giffin: DC easily...

Geoff Johns: DC...

Roy Thomas: Marvel -- good strong runs with Conan, X-Men, Avengers, Hulk...

George Perez: Hmmm, I'd say Marvel. Avengers & Perez (both in the `70's and 2000's.)

The Kubert Brothers: Marvel -- they grew as artists there with X-Men & Wolverine...

Jim Starlin: Marvel -- Warlock, Thanos and all the cosmic minis.

John Byrne: Marvel -- he'll never live down his contributions to the X-Men line, and his FF stuff is highly praised, but you've got small gems like Alpha Flight, WCA, Namor, Hulk, Marvel Team-Up that sneak in there.

Jim Lee: I hate to say it, but DC. He made waves at Marvel with Punisher and the X-Men, but went to bigger and better things with Batman and Superman. Dude's co-publisher of DC now...

Neal Adams: DC...

Chris Claremont: Marvel. The man ruled the X-Men universe for almost 20 years that'll never go away and his DC work -- ummmmm, what the hell was S7 about anyway??

Walt Simonson: Marvel. Thor, FF, and X-Factor...

Louise Simonson: Tie for me. I'd say X-Factor and New Mutants, but she had a helluva run on Superman: The Man of Steel too...

Roger Stern: Marvel -- ASM, Captain America and the Avengers.

Marv Wolfman: DC...

Frank Miller: Marvel...
