What we have with Logan is similar to Spider-Man getting unmasked. Pre-Civil War, unmasking Spider-Man often resulted in the villain thinknig he's just some average joe. Peter parker doesn't have any distinguishing physical characteristics. And besides his height and claws, neither does Logan. So even with a technically public identity, it doesn't hamper Logan's ability to do what he does.

Once Spider-Man's ID became public in Civil War, he was no longer able to maintain his previous lifestyle ie going to a bar for a drink.

Does Peter Parker drink? I thought he was anti-drinking. (I remember his clone Ben Reilly got drunk once and made a big deal out of it being out of character from the real Peter).

Once Logan is seen unmasked by the general public, whether in a press photo, recorded camera scene, etc. he would no longer be able to go out to a bar for a drink. Everytime he went to the airport, people would know who he was. If I saw Hugh Jackman at a bar, I would recognize him.
