thor has two weeks to get in as much money as possible before "pirates "bulldozes its way through theatres.

outlook-
cap is stuck in the middle of a jampacked july. what makes it worse is its all pop culture movies taking fanboys (and girls). ideally it would have opened for 4th of july but i dont blame it for dodging transformers 3. never count out the marvel zombies though. if this movie can hang through a couple of weeks and its good like iron man, it has a chance to do some damage in august.

had this movie opened 4th of july i could have seen a 100 mil opening easy (hancock did almost 100)
this movie has a chance to get some legs... if its decent. harry potter opening the week before hurts a bit, and cowboys and aliens could be independence day or wild wild west, its a bit of a wild card.
honestly if i was marvel, i would drop a movie in march. you are up against absolutely nothing and fanboys are going to show up no matter what. look at what 300 and sin city did.
