    where would YOU put them?

For me, and seemingly the majority of fans, there just isn't any interest in these characters. Most of these characters are just relics of the golden age with their only fans being those that read about the team in the 70s. That's a group of fans that is increasingly becoming less important in today's comics since the readers will be approaching their 40s and 50s. I don't think anyone wants to aim a comic at a 45 year old.

So these characters obviously can't sustain their own team and title. Splitting them up comes down to the individual characters, and the question stops becoming "what do you do with the Invaders" and becomes "what do we do with this specific character".

Most of these characters just need to go away. The Golden Age Vision, Human Torch, and Toro, are just characters that aren't unique at Marvel and are the less popular versions of other characters. If you want to tell a story with an android, you still have countless other characters at Marvel to tell that story with. And while you can state that these characters might be used well in the various Avengers titles, you can't say that they would be used better in those books then other characters. Why use Spitfire in the Avengers if Quicksilver is available? Why use the original Torch if Johnny Storm is available? There are countless other Avengers I'd rather see be in the titles as opposed to characters that aren't even Avengers.

But Cap, Bucky, and Namor have found their roles at Marvel. Spitfire seemed to work well with Captain Britain's team, so I would leave here there.
