I reject alot of ideas people have about why Cap will do badly. I don't think it's pro-American nature will have a drastic effect on international audiences. Remember that they love American culture, our action films, our movie stars, etc.

Yes, we do (I'm Australian), but we don't like having it crammed down our throats.
I don't want to get into a racial thing here. I love American culture as much as the next person. But too much Americana can sometimes be a bad thing.
That being said, this weekend I told my wife visiting New York is on my Bucket List. \:\)

Simple question, can you name any movie that suffered internationally because of it's "pro-American nature"? I can't. I don't think that the Cap movie will be received poorly because of it's association with America.

Yes I can.
The World After Tomorrow got some critics comments after it's release due to the American-centric nature of the story-telling.
This subsequently got some off-sided ignorant comments such as "Just because the Hollywood sign blows away doesn't mean the whole world is coming to an end."
But this is just one example. I can't think (off the top of my head) of many other movies.
