Volume two had a largely classic roster didnt it? I recall Nova, Namorita, Speedball.

I know that there were some newer characters on the team (think Firestar and Justice were Avengers at the time), but surely there has to be some innovation of the roster?

I didnt actually mind the latest iteration of the team. Whilst there was very little connection to previous rosters, I thought the story was a good idea - rebels fighting against Starks regestration Act. The fact that it tied into the fairly recent events of M-day with a number of depowered mutants on the team also seemed to be a decent idea.

Yeah I hated all of volumes 2-4 immensely. Although seeing Silhouette that one time in volume 4 was appreciated.

Unfortunately, regardless as to the roster, the quality of writing or the ethos of the title, I just dont think the market is there. I fear that even a top creative team would fail to ignite the interest of the audience, and expect that the series would die within 12 to 20 issues or so.
