...my excitement at being able to purchase on eBay the first 45 issues of the origiinal New Warriors series for just under 30 dollars!
These stories will be brand new to me. I never followed this book when it was coming out.
Once I get these and read them, you may find me joining the ranks of those who look for any glimmer of hope that the original team will return.
I'll say this, even now: Marvel shouldn't bother with anything less than the original team doing the original sorts of things for the original reasons. In fact, Fabian Nicieza should be commissioned to write it. Why mess around? Why do things by halves? Commit to a 12 issue run, promote it like you actually believe in it, get Newsarama to gush over it, and in the end, worst case, you'll have two trade paperbacks to sell. Best case, you'll sell enough of the pamphlet version to go another six issues. Don't mess around, though. Put on the shelves the thing fans actually want. At least if it doesn't sell, you'll know you published the real thing, not some knock-off. If people demonstrate they don't want the real thing, fine.

Congratulations! You've got a good read ahead of you. The first 25 issues are magic. The next 25 are excellent.
I'd love to see the originals (plus Sil & Rage as the Rev. mentioned below) in a title again, but you can't go back to doing "the original sorts of things for the original reasons". They were young, inexperienced heroes starting out, learning how to shoulder the responsibility of heroism.
They've learned too much to go back, but again I'd love to see them come back together and move forward...
