And it doesn't include his first appearance in 'Menace' # 5 from 1953.

The first appearance from Menace #5 was reprinted with alterations to fit it into Gerber's reinvention of the character in Tales of the Zombie #1, which is in turn reprinted in the Essential book. Moreover, the Essential also reprints an even earlier 1950s story about a different zombie altogether!
