Then they got the better idea for Pym to insert a line of code into Ultron so he'd shut down before hatching his big bad scheme. And this ended up breaking time.

Why would this end up "breaking time?" In the past, it has either created an alternate timeline or altered the present timeline. Any reason for the change?

Well, there were several time changes that were happening "simultaneously" in a very small span of time.

Stark's explanation: "Time is an organism" and all of the time changes (past/present/future?) have built up, weakening the flow of time, and this was the breaking point. But I mean, really?! This is hardly anything new.

It all comes down to writer fiat. And I can dig it, if we get some good stories. Apparently, we're going to be in a period of chaos for the foreseeable future. Chaos can be good, or it can just be a weak excuse to not give a crap. The choice is Marvels.

We know Regular Galactus (not that Gah-Lak-Tus or whatever) is now in the Ultimate Universe and about to feast on Ultimate Earth.

And Spider-Man 2099 is coming to the 616.

And Angela (former Image/Spawn character) is now in the 616 and pissed off for being dragged there.

What issue is all of this shown in?

At the end of AoU, we see Ultimate Spidey swinging along and bump! OMG! There's Big G! Cue the announcement: "Hunger" Coming Soon. Then we see Angela out in space and her thought captions are basically: What the heck am I doing here? When I find the guy responsible, he's dead meat.

The Spidey 2099 news item is coming from solicits for Superior Spider-Man #17-18.

Also, any mention of the Time Variance Authority or Immortus? They are the ones who usually keep anyone from screwing up the timelines.

Nothing. However, this time breaking happened in the last few pages. Perhaps they will be appearing in upcoming books.

Long ago, we got a map that showed the timeline jurisdictions of TVA, Kang, Ravonna, and others. I suppose it could be possible that the Mainstream Marvel Universe could escape their jurisdictions.

City of Heroes is BACK!
