The Inhumans have a few problems in terms of developing a movie. The first is that there are really so many more concepts that deserve to be done first, like Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Strange, Black Panther, Silver Surfer, Namor. You also have so many properties that deserve another film like Daredevil, Blade, Ghost Rider.

Yet Marvel is doing Guardians of the Galaxy. I don't think deserving is much of a factor.

Part of the problem with an Inhumans story is that you don't have that character that is a viewpoint for the audience. Which character is the Wolverine/Rogue ala the X-Men film?

My POV characters would be Medusa and a teen-age Crystal. Medusa pretty much has to be a POV character, due to her role as Black Bolt's interpreter. We need to see Black Bolt through her eyes. Teen-age Crystal would be the other POV character so as to connect as deeply as possible with the teen-age demographic. I would attach Lockjaw to Crystal as her special protector, and I would make Triton her pal. I'd cast Triton young, 18-20 years old.

Even if you wanted to do a story about the Inhumans defending Earth from the Kree, I'd rather see a Captain Marvel movie that does that. And heroes vs aliens was done in Avengers, but also GotG.

I'd have Maximus the Mad stir up some insane chaos on Earth.

The characters are also just not that interesting. Black Bolt is a great character, but outside of that the rest are really boring. Triton, Gorgon, Medusa, Karnak? I don't think I ever read any solo stories with them, nor would I really want to.

I love them all. Not necessarily as solo stars. In the film I'd have three pairs: Black Bolt and Medusa, Crystal and Triton, and Karnak and Gorgon. These three relationships would provide the beating heart of the film. Actually a fourth pair would be Crystal and Lockjaw.
