No. The Negative Zone shouldn't be part of the galaxy... or universe. I guess this is a new change post-SW.

Could be.

But what the heck is that object in the Thing's right hand? In his left is Rocket Raccoon's rocket pack, but in his right?

That's the artifact he stole from the Chitauri.

Oh! Duh. Man, I really do need to be spoon-fed.

Oh, and I adored "the thing" she did. I completely missed (until my second read) how Ben thought they might be talking about him. But Kitty destroying a spaceship gets my vote.

As one of the bigger Kitty-fans, what she did definitely does NOT get my vote. One of Kitty's things is that she does sort of have a no-kill policy. She has killed on rare occasion, but it affects her extremely. Destroying a spaceship and killing probably thousands is not her, even if they're aliens.

Good point. I had forgotten that aspect of her personality. I think I have a blind spot in that area, as I personally would never have a no kill policy if my enemy didn't. Also context affects my brain, I think. X-Men comics, or Superman, Batman, or Spider-Man comics - in those contexts, I think about the no kill rule. In a comic like Guardians of the Galaxy, it never enters my mind. But you're certainly right. Kitty has exhibited a no kill policy in the past.

I was about to start asking you a bunch of questions, but decided instead to try Wikipedia. It was helpful.

Kitty and Rocket Raccoon's nine panels of body language was priceless! So maybe it was worth $3.99? I'll never admit it!

Absolutely! I disrupted the coffee shop when I "read" that.

That page decided me on sticking with the comic. I guess that was the sort of thing Bendis fans have always loved about his writing.

So is Hala the new Galactus?

I don't think it's like that. I think she just destroys. And I suspect she's the one of the "last surviving Kree" and out for revenge. If she's trying to be Galactus, then she fails. The beauty of Galactus was his cold detachment. Coming in all gangbusters just makes her like every other supercosmic-person out there.

I wonder why Marvel decided to nearly destroy the Kree.

It occurred to me that Bendis made no mention of the Skrulls. So I looked them up.
Skrulls - Recent History

Super Skrull is Emperor now! Wow. I didn't know. I guess he only has one world under his rule, so he was small potatoes in the minds of Annihilus and the Queen of the Brood.
