Runaways #5 - a crazy Old Lace couldn't keep me away

Any good? What's to note for the shared MU?

Mostly good. Molly's acting more like an 8 year old than a teen, but otherrwise it's been good. Chase rebuilds Victor Mancha (well, fixes his head). Victor isn't happy. He wanted to stay dead, although we get some indication that dead isn't dead for him (more like just a coma). The two have a chat and decide they need to rescue Gert and Molly from Molly's grandma. She is creepy and up to something not good.

Karolina visits Nico. She asked Julie Power to look her up in the Avengers database. Julie did. Ethical implications, but not bad, I guess. Nico tries to kiss Karolina, causing lots of tension.

Gert and Molly are helping themselves and start to escape, but are caught by granny. And then the cavalry arrives.

      She-Hulk #161 - I likes Jen

Didn't you find it bOring?! And what's the point of introducing precedence that gamma transformed folk can share psi-space now? Hopefully, it was a unique side-effect to Robyn's change.

Definitely not boring. It's more interesting than Jen tends to be, imo.

Frankly, I think we all inhabit the same psi-space. Most of us just don't interact. It is a bit troublesome that Jen is interacting, but there might be some sort of precedent of her. She was once taught by the Ovoids to exchange minds, but she ended up using the ability differently. Maybe this is an extension of that.

Secret Warriors #12 - may as well continue to the end

    Secret Warriors 012

THE FATE OF THE SECRET WARRIORS WILL BE DECIDED…by a roll of the dice! Clandestine meetings predicated on lies! Teammates-turned-enemies brought face-to-face! A hero will break all the rules – but will it be enough to win?

The cover and solicit are clever. The art is good. The break up was heartwarming with each member parting ways - and partying ways. Even peacemaker Lunella was not that much of a pain. Obviously, not wearing her nerdy supercostume helped. Devoting 20 pages to a board game was a funny concept that worked out pretty good although maybe do you think less focus on the actual gameplay would have been more... substansive.

Ugh... Kamala and Daisy were horrible!!! Grow the heck up! But having Lunella be the voice of reason isn't a character moment. It's just disgusting writing.

They didn't really devote 20 pages to the game. It was only about 8. Felt like 20, maybe.

Meaning: Best not to open that can of worms. Keep secrets locked inside.

What is holding Magik's Soulsword while she scarfs cake?

It's leaning against the wall/window/radiator.

Dante and Quake getting it on in 6 months: any takers?

Don't care.

This series generated such apathy I don't even care about a Star Wars joke. I'm just glad this is done.

City of Heroes is BACK!
