Well.......a fun read but this issue kind of flies against what was established at the end of Dan Ketch's GR series back in the 90's.

Badilno/Vengeance is suffering in the pits of hell where his tormentor states that all Riders end up in hell at the end.

However that is a demon taking, demons are not known for their honesty and a GR series a few years back revealed that the Riders might in fact be agents of heaven....

in this one shot, Badilino/Vengeance manages to escape hell and return to life/Earth again, where he plans to deal out Vengeance.

Badilino was shown to be alive a few GR series back, in the same series that revealed the Riders are from heaven.

However given that the Noble Kale, the Rider that took over hell was in charge at this time, and that he also made Vengeance one of his lieutenants, then Vengeance should not have been suffering torments or need to escape. This issue did indicate that the Rider was indeed in charge of the realm. Now if this had occurred after Mephisto had returned and ousted the Rider and sent him back to Earth to recombine with Dan Ketch as shown in Peter Parker:Spider-man #93, then this would have made more sense.

All in all a fun read but it again flies in the face of previously establish things about the 90's Rider.

even moreso than other characters. The Ketch one would be right but the Aaron run (while enjoyable) was not that consistent with the 90's run. I guess the Way and Aaron runs that were good but sort of mixed and matched.

The angel thing started in the 90's and Aaron kept that part of it that SoV were really angels that were out to punish the wicked and could only be destroyed by God or whatever you want to call him in the end.

It was an enjoyable story but I feel it is all over the place in terms of which origins.

Look Raist bunnies...
