Quote: Anyone here tried to watch this yet? The trailers looked excretable. I genuinely think the writer put two words together and tried to form a concept from it. I gave it 10 minutes but just gave up. Who thought this was a good idea? I can't believe Fiege thinks this is the TV connector that'll bridge to the next cinematic phase. It's an absolute stinker. Who is their intended audience? Olsen and Bettany deserve far, far better than this.
It is definitely hard getting into (it's so different from anything Marvel has done yet), but by the second episode you see: There's a plot underneath.
And it might help that I'm a huge Wanda and Vizh shipper. They're Marvel's best couple of all time, imo, and I don't care who says otherwise. This is making me really like the show.
SWORD and possibly Strucker are involved. Wanda and Vision are prisoners of some VR thing.
At the end of ep 1, the camera pans back, showing a man sitting at a computer screen watching them. You can see SWORD ensignia on other screens.
Then in ep 2, Wanda finds a "toy" helicopter in her bushes in colour (red and gold) and the toy has SWORD ensignia. Twice in the episode, a radio gets interrupted by someone screaming for Wanda! And asking "who is doing this to you, Wanda?" There was also a Strucker commercial at one point.
Wanda is realizing something is amiss by the end of ep 2, and at the very end, she waves her hands and everything turns to colours.
I also liked "drunk" Vision in ep 2. The couple's magic act (with the names Illusion and Glamor thrown in).

It was great and the references to previous stories were fun to see! The first episode was a little "Huh?!" but there's definitely a plan behind it and I'm excited to see it unfold!
