I remember when these boards actually had people talking about comics. Where did they all go? Half of the boards are shuttered and the other half rarely have people comment. Are comics really only enjoyed by the 40 and 50 year olds or have the mods driven this site into the ground?

Not sure the bit about mods is true (the folks that get the ban deserve it), I have seen varying levels of activity over the years, but people come and go. Just the way of things.

I do think comics are typically enjoyed by older folks more often. Just the nature of the media. Lots of people love the films and shows but fewer people actually read the comics.

And that is highlighted by decreasing sales across the spectrum for all such comics.

It sucks, but it is the way of things. Comics always were something of a niche market but it is moreso now despite the topics and material being more accepted than ever and that translates to various boards. Although some are much more active than others.
