    I think the problem is that I don't know if there is enough done to get new blood on these boards. Not only that, but I think there might be other places people would check first if they wanted to talk about comics (like reddit, Facebook, or whatever).

I remember a time (roughly 15 years ago) Alvaro's Comic Boards were the first place I would check when I went online. Topics got responded to in a few hours, but even then it had a backwater, almost "clubhouse" feel to it.

Now I only drop in maybe once a week, and even then I see the same posts and no real advancement of the topics. It's a bit sad actually. I keep expecting to log on one day and find it's been shuttered.

As for "other places", my comic conversation has moved over to the Marvel Masterwork Board, where I see the names of many Posters who used to post on these very boards. I feel very at home there.
