I remember when these boards actually had people talking about comics. Where did they all go? Half of the boards are shuttered and the other half rarely have people comment. Are comics really only enjoyed by the 40 and 50 year olds or have the mods driven this site into the ground?

I used to like comcis more and try to get into them. But they cost too much and take up too much room to store for me to keep getting them especially since I do not like the output.

Comics used to be fairly self-contained that could tell a story without always having to read a dozen other issues. Then Marvel started doing cross overs every year interrupting the main story and requring purchasing side issue to get the full story.

Finally, the increased politicization of comics turned me off. There is using a comic story to share your beliefs then there is outright preaching while making the story suffer. Marvel started going this direction.

I hang around and visit every a couple of times a week. But I don't have much to contribute.
