I thought it was interesting, and I don't normally read Doctor Strange comics at all. I know his basic history and abilities, and saw the movie. A very well done story, I just hope he doesn't stay dead permanently. I wish I had theories on who killed him; as it was some magic-user who pinned him up and stabbed him through the heart. Not sure if I'll go beyond just the five issues, and get all the tie-in comics, but who knows?

Thoughts?

As a mystery, it was a decent start. As a doctor Strange story, it was pretty lackluster to me.

I was a big Dr. Strange fan, until Jason Aaron came on, and just turned him into a watered down John Constantine. AS Black Guardian says, they keep taking him back to zero, most notably making him arrogant again... something that is tied to his origin, and the humility he found was supposed to be WHY he can access the magics.

However, I will break with Guardian on the guarantee that Doc will return.

I think it is at least possible he is planned to stay dead. Comics don;t matter to Marvel, and everything will likely brought in line with the MCU. Sam will become Cap again, Tony Stark will be pushed to the background at least. Both will jut be done less haphazardly as before.

As such, my guess is that that new Sorcerer Supreme they are hinting at will be Wanda Maximoff. Her star is on the rise because of WandaVision, so she might be taking the roll up in the movie.

Remember, MCU actors usually sign up for six movies, and Doc and the Multiverse of Madness will be number six for Sherlock. I don;t necessarily think they will kill him in that movie, but maybe scale him back for someone cheaper. Like... Olsen.
