Well said. I don't mind saying that I never really cared that much for Kraven's Last Hunt. It was ok, but I was glad to see it end and to this day I've never re-read it. That said, if Spider-Man had an ongoing TV series you could adapt this arc for the show and probably make it work. As a big screen film, it would flop. Having the real Spidey in a tomb while a psychotic/insane Kraven runs around NYC just have BLOCKBUSTER written all over it.
