Well, it would've warned of Vision attacking, but only that "danger" is nearby, not necessarily from Vision. But that's just my opinion. Some writers make the Spider-Sense very vague (split sections before "danger" occurs, with maybe the direction the danger is coming from) to other writers having him use it to investigate mysteries.

I agree about the inconsistency of it, but I think most showings show Spiderman capable of detecting the direction of danger. This has been going on for a long time, aside from the occassional fluke. Sometimes the story needs Spidey to be taken by surprsie.

That said, we know his sense is stronger now so there are varying degrees of it. Perhaps IM's is a very basic form of it.
