luckysoandsogetsandvancecopypilerassumfrassum... ahem, I mean...

I've never seen a store with one of those, only heard the stories. Do they let all customers look through those comics? Only "valued" customers? Ever let them buy them? I swear everyone on this board goes to a cool comic shop but me.

That's too bad. Both Marvel and DC have these promotional programs in place. There is a minimal charge for the advance copies and it can truly elicit enthusiasm and effects sales on their books.

>Do they let all customers look through those comics? Only "valued" customers?

All customers can look through them at any store worth going to. I'd be skeptical of a store who has these books but has some reason not to share them with their customers.

>Ever let them buy them?

Some do, but they could easily face legal consequences since they are in a binding contract with the publishers not to sell those books before they are officially released to the public.

You may have a point there. Maybe you can ask your store if they would be willing to do it. On most weeks each company tosses out a half a dozen or so advance copies or more for previewing. For the $6.99 to $9.99 a week (or is it a month) that it costs retailers to sign up, they can easily make their money back by adding the copies to their inventories when the books are released.
