So don't you think the real black costume would have worked in live action? If anything it should work better than the traditional costume, which they did a grand job of.

True, and when James Cameron almost did Spider-Man, his choice was reportedly the black costume instead of the red and blue one. That would have been a mistake frome my point of vue, but still...

But I think EVERY comic costume can translate onto the big screen, frankly. The filmakers, producers and executive suits don't have what it takes to make that decision, as in X-Men. The movies are great, but I still loathe the costumes. I would have prefered yellow spandex...
