| > > I love Norah Winters, she's so playfully mean to Peter. Need more of her!|
> The way I see her is that she's very similar to Mary Jane personality wise. Both of them, you could say are spunky, flirtatious, and have a sarcastic wit, with the exception being that Mary Jane is more gentle and Norah is more abrasive. I do not think I am being critical here; rather, I think it was deliberate on Joe Kelly and the braintrust.
> That's because I believe, eventually, it's going to be Norah whom Peter goes out on a date with in Mark Waid upcoming January issue (ASM #583) and that towards the end of the date, Norah will do or say something that reminds Peter of MJ and make him realize that, after all these months, he still hasn't completely gotten over her yet. I can just picture a scene in which she's standing in the doorway of her apartment after Peter brings her home and calls him Tiger, then the next panel is a flashcut to the classic John Romita scene where Peter and MJ first met. Or, you have a scene in which Aunt May mentions how nice Norah is, that it was almost like having Mary Jane around, and then say to Peter "I don't mean to pry, dear, but you never did say why you and Mary Jane broke up. What happened between the two of you?"
I think every writers will introduce their own new girl in Peter's life anyway (Probably another one by Waid and one by Stern) and none of them will play a larger role than "girlfriend of the day" ... I may be wrong but that's really how I see it now.
