A thread below made me think of this, why not give your opinions on this issue?

To me, it's prominent for two reasons, one VERY big one.

1. Ned Leeds death. A pivotal moment in the Spider-Saga.

2. Spidey kills someone. Not through inaction or accident ( sort of ), bit by hitting a normal person so hard he essentially pulps her.

Obviously he was set-up to do this by Wolverine and Charlie, the latter choosing death over a life in captivity, but the fact remains that Spidey kills someone with his bare hands, the only time I can ever recall that happening.

Oh yeah, anyone else agree that Spidey totally kicked Logan's ass in this? \:\)

I finally read this in 1996 and the fact that Spider-Man killed someone was a surprise. I missed this issue back in 1987 and that incident was never mentioned in the Spider titles which is why I was surprised by it in 1996. To me, reading this was like reading an "untold tale of Spider-Man".
