Well, it was pretty clear in OMD that hiding Spider-Man's identity was part of the deal with Mephisto. It's more a matter of, does he snap his fingers and make everything happen, or does he give events a nudge in that direction? Even though there almost certainly is a non-Mephisto explanation for why no one knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man, I feel pretty safe in saying that non-Mephisto explanation was still arranged by Mephisto.

I think as long as people continue to boycott the book in the hope that the marriage will be restored, there will still be fairly regular discussion on One More Day. And certainly, as long as the resultant Brand New Day continuity remains, both will be relevant topics for conversation.

You're right, we don't want to get to the point of general bitching. And we certainly don't want to hijack unrelated threads to prod at OMD again.

But this, here, is a thread about a poster's disappointment in the current direction. It's right there in the subject line. That's always valid, no matter what the direction is. If you don't want to talk about it, you can skip these threads.

Mephisto definely needs to be associated with the "re-masking". Otherwise, it would make MJ's appearance in OMD merely one of Mephisto's illusions.

As far as I can tell, the "devil" in these types of stories always follow through with their end, even if it is not exactly what was asked for.
