As far as I can tell, Ghost Rider did not pay his "price" and does "fight" Mephisto since he is aware of the deal, which is completely opposite of Peter Parker's scenario.

Thus, I would say that Ghost Rider is now far more of a "hero" than Peter Parker/Spider-man.
