> What did you mean in saying "Spidey is acting like Spidey again."  What were the ways he was acting before that you considered to be out of character, and how has that been fixed?
You recall that part in the article where he mentioned nobody at Marvel was returning his phone calls?  I recall reading a recent interview where he once again mentioned he was struggling to find work in the comics industry.  Stern is my favorite Spider-scribe.  I voted for him unabashedly in the writer face-off on this board awhile back.  I believe that Uncle Rog genuinely believes that the marriage between Pete and MJ was a goof-up.  But you also say "things" when you are wanting a job.  "Spidey acting like Spidey" again?  Please.  I loved Stern's work because he wrote a competent character who held up against A-list villains like Mr. Hyde (before he became a joke), the Juggernaut, and the Thinker.  Brand New Day Spider-man is pathetic compared to the character that Stern wrote.  As much as I love Stern's legacy I believe his quote here is just toeing the company line.
