Yeah, I actually agree with you quite a bit, in that Marvels editors on the books where their 'star' writers are employed seem to be something of a poor joke, sadly. They might as well not have editors on those books for all the good they do. Sometimes I actually almost yearn for the days of a strong Jim Shooter type who would actually say No, every now and again inorder to reign in the so called talent on their flights of fancy that don't seem to have any regard to what went on in the book before they took it over. (Although in some instances sometimes it's the reverse..i.e OMD)

I suspect the best option would be to have something of a happy medium between the two approaches..
