A smidge early, but I'm not planning on buying any more comics the next few days, so...

October 31 marks the end of the first month since July 1982 that I didn't buy a single comic with Peter Parker as a featured character. (It also marks the longest I've gone without buying an issue of Amazing Spider-Man since my copy of #232 arrived in the mail back in the day.)

This isn't an invitation to bust on the current direction or anything (I'll just pile on in the "10 worst decisions" thread \:\-\) ), but I felt the need to mark the occasion somehow.

I'm not a big fan of these "I'm quitting" posts, but I can see where you are coming from, as a genuine Spider-Man fan. Its not about putting down the current direction the Spidey books are going, but that might feel sad/strange that you won't be collecting the books right now. Us humans love our routines, and when (an often insignificant) change is made in our routine, it is felt.

Anyway, my approach to comic books is far more casual, I don't feel I owe any company my support. I buy the books I like, and thats it. Perhaps I am more detached to the whole thing.

Never forget
