Well, the question is, is there any mystery for need for a suspect?
Gotta admit, Dan Slott's misdirection is working a treat.
-Jeremiah Ecks,
who actually has begun to think - it would be nice if this was Macendale in disguise, you know.

You could very easily ask the same question about Macendale...why? Why would a writer go through the trouble to bring him back? He was distintegrated, for god's sakes. Apologies to Green Ninjas, but there is no serious demand for him to return. He was just a mercenary, and a second rate hobgoblin. It would be like people demanding the return of Blackie Drago as the Vulture. Roderick Kingsley is the real Hobgoblin just like Adrian Toomes is the real Vulture. Also, Kingsley wasn't dead. If the 'Kingsley' name thrown out by Kingpin turns out to be a red herring (and I highly doubt it will), I would be shocked if it turned out to be Macendale.
