I don't like this free promotional piece on a website nobody's making me look at!

That doesn't really make alot of sense. Obviously no one is forcing anyone here. Whether it's free or not does not matter in terms of quality of an interview. ABC News is free for me, but I still expect them to actually do a good job with their interviews and ask the relevant questions.

But Newsarama is a pretty crappy site now, I hardly ever go there and mostly stick to just CBR for conventional comic news.

I should point out that I haven't read the interview. But as has been mentioned, it's not really up to Slott to address certain subjects like the overall reduction in sales and fans criticism to OMD/BND. Slott's answers to those type of questions aren't going to be interesting, and be more like the countless other useless answers we have gotten there.

I would love to see Slott's take on plans to increase popularity on the title though, especially with a new status quo and new publication schedule. Would Marvel be happy with title keeping it's current sales, or do think they still need to sell 180K overall a month?

The interview was a promotional piece, not a critical or analytical piece. It didn't pretend to be anything else. And the OP is angry that the interviewer didn't ask questions about sales figures or "fan backlash" (after 1 issue?), questions that are better directed to bean counters and editors than the writer.

But we all know what this is really about. The OP is angry that the interview wasn't all about Spider-Man's marital status.
