Quote: The problem is that Slott didn't mention the Loners storyline in ASM 649. Slott should have actually referenced it if he was using it as the basis of Phil's characterization.
Does it HAVE to be mentioned? Does Grim Hunt need a footnote in Kraven's dialogue saying "He's pissed about being alive again because he killed himself after finishing his life's work in KRAVEN'S LAST HUNT!"

Actually, this made no sense to me at all because I didn't know Phil was going crazy at the end of his run. I always thought he was the hero so I thought this was a gross mis-characterization, but i wouldn't be surprised about that though. If I bought the books, it would have been nice to know that this wasn't just a random mis-characterization making him become insane just to get the story across, but that this actually goes along with the ending to his series.
Also Phil's side story doesn't compare at all to the famous Kraven's Last Hunt, that's comparing apples to orange's imo but to the new reader that didn't know, maybe a footnote leading the reader to that great story wouldn't hurt either, so he understood what in the world was going on with his spectacular return, and why it was so spectacular.
