Yes, I agree. Having Norman become Spider-Man would be beyond stupid. Norman is completely irredeemable. Killing Gwen, killing Ben Reilly (Even though that was an accident.), faking Aunt May's death, threatening Mary Jane, killing policemen, having his goons get Flash Thompson drunk (Especially cruel.). Having Norman be Spider-Man would be beyond retarded.

I think Norman will be the new Spidey. I think he's going to go SANE!

And I think Peter will be incapacitated for a while and will be Norman's tech guy. I also think Norman will eventually in a heartbreaking end to the storyline, lose everything that is good in him again. Peter will end up having to take him down. But I think it will be done in a way that will add to the Norman character so that people care about what he does again. Not everything good will be lost? Will he become a new kind of Jason Todd?

Nothing could ever wipe out the stink of what Norman has done. But that is precisely why it would be a great story. (Example the new Green Lantern comic books with Sinestro as a heroic lead and pal'ing along with Hal Jordan.)

The fact that Slott has said he'll have to go into hiding and that the character has serious Spider-man pedigree matches with the predicted reaction and what you said. The idea of the twisted former leader of the criminal Thunderbolts and Evil Avengers well, it seems too incredible and emotive to be true. I reckon that because Doctor Strange will (I have heard) be involved, we might be seeing a whole new Norman. I heard a rumour that the whole world won't realise something has changed, and so that means Peter might be falling off the saint's ladder and history might be rewritten again. Which I honestly suggest will lead to the end of most of the current OMIT continuity and the return of the marriage.

There you go, that blows the next two years at least. \:\)
