Never watched the Spider-Woman cartoon growing up. Never determined if that was the catalyst for her popularity with fans and writers. Never got into the her volume 1 artwork by Carmine Infantino so didn't get hooked on her book. (Did read many of the Steve Leialoha issues.) Never saw her do anything notable once Bendis invested her in the Avengers franchise. (Well, she did enable the curse that was Veranke.) And now she's (apparently) moved over into the Spider-family mainstream. Meh. Never even heard she was getting update 'til here: http://www.comicboards.com/php/show.php?rpy=mub-2014121901195629
Bearing that ambivalence in mind, nothing of this instalment/involvement for the Spider-Verse Event excited/grabbed me with her re-relaunched series (yet?). For me the Mr.Land art suits Jessica's world quite well -Pepsodent and all- even though probably a majority might (most likely) say otherwise. Granted there were a couple key bits that were notable to read here too:
• Loomworld is revealed to be kinda like Grimjack's Cynosure - but nothing really captivating about it yet. Are there other MU mish mash metropolises we have seen?
• Silk finds a key strategic kryptonite to Inheritors albeit in bumbling fashion.
• Thru contrivance or serendipity, there is an alt-Spider-Woman 'pet' of the Inheritors called Miss Jessica that 616-Spider-Woman tries to impersonate.
• The mildly interesting supporting character -that pirate- doesn't even rate a name yet -which is pet peeve frustrating- of all the bland citizens cameoed -2 of which even got names- PLUS he isn't even yet listed on wikia http://marvel.wikia.com/Spider-Woman_Vol_5_2
Hopefully things will pick up and don't go the way of She-Hulk's now-defunct re-relaunch.
I miss Dad and Dan especially during the holidays.
Another worthless tie in issue to a worthless event.
as to the Spider Woman cartoon of the 80's, you tube it and you will see you missed nothing
