Now Octopus knows he will 'die again' at Peter's hand, thanks to wibbly wobbly timey whimey, he can put in a safety feature backup and transplant his mind somewhere else.

Plus, money. If Marvel think they can milk anything with the names 'Spider-Man', 'X-Men' or 'Avengers' they will slap the name on it and sell it to you, even if it's turd wearing webs (not that Superior was).

who despises the fact that now Spidey is an X-Men supporting cast member, everybody has been an Avenger or X-Man, and Marvel want you to buy all the books that are nowadays very expensive. Which is why I just don't buy Marvel much at all now - too expensive to buy too many stupid tie ins.

Spock came back in Superior #19..and lived out his time. That, at this point, cannot be changed.

Now if Peter today let's him know what eventually happens to him, he could change his fate, but that would also change events from Superior #19 on.
