It is crap compared to the comicbook. But no Spidey cartoon has got it right just yet. All have good things in them... but.
I would agree to a point. Whether in cartoons, movies, or even the live action show from the 1970s, not one iteration of these formats has really presented Peter/Spidey true to what Stan and Steve created. There have been some very good versions (the first two Raimi movies, the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon, and arguably the first cartoon) and some poor (Spider-Man Unlimited, the last two movies). I don't care for the current Ultimate Spider-Man show and I've never liked when cartoon versions show the eye pieces in the mask moving/contorting to show expression. It's all subjective to be sure. I have always desired to have Spidey presented in other media accurately with a Romita (Sr) inspired costume along with the "Parker luck" and writing that would have Spidey dishing out his sarcasm/humor mixed with his thoughts in a less forced manner.
