...Um, wow...this is one big retcon

    Quote:
They remind the reader of his visit to The Chameleon a few issues ago...remember, he asked for a formula to stabilize his changing appearance. He's showing MJ a different face just as he showed Peter and Beck Harry's face. At this point, I really think they're not going to commit to Kindred having a 'true identity', he's just messing with everyone now to cause drama and the real draw is whatever the point of his mission is. Kindred could be Pre-OMD versions of Harry, Peter, MJ, Aunt May, even one of the souls of their 'dead' kids like Annie or Mayday. And I don't think it matters at this point. Just like it didn't matter with Teresa

But it was still somebody that was at that flashbacked house party Peter attended, right? Remind me, who was it that confirmed that, again? The IRL Bullpen or the in-story Narrator? Kind of forget at this point. 'Course it could be someone else (like a Mephisto pawn) that was just masquerading and technically Marvel wouldn't have been lying. Sigh. Whatever just get this big retcon of a retcon over with already. It's all starting to go over my head and only the post-SW marvel wikia entry will provide a coherent summary to best judge the final outcome - that will hopefully... ease the controversial stings from (the travesty that was) BND started in 2008.

The art styling this issue seemed rushed and has slipped some in appearance. Nowhere near as nice as the amazing Bagley & Co. art of preceeding parts of Sinister War #2 & #3. Of course, those two tales were just an extended cameofest of Spider-foes for mere kitschy factor. To be fair, in #3, there was that feelgood moment when Boomerang subtlely helped Spidey run to safety; otherwise those endless and tired unscathings continued here (unless #4 happens first?). Thankfully, the Sixers fighting segued into the more... substantial Kindred commentary and Mephisto retcons you recap.

Gotta go find and read Legacy of Evil (for the first time) now...
