In Amazing Spider-Man Vol 1 #400, "Aunt May" died, and it was revealed later on that she was an impostor setup by Norman/GG, and Spider-Man got the real Aunt May back. Was the impostor addressed in MC2 Spider-Girl, and if so, how? The stuff 616-Spidey went through to get the real Aunt May back never happened in MC2 continuity history, I think.

In the MC2 continuity, Aunt May's death in issue 400 was legitimate, and it was baby May that was in Norman's custody, that is, until Kaine rescued her and brought her back to Mary Jane.

Aunt May would however return as a spirit, she ultimately helped May free her father from Norman Osborn's psychic control in a 2009 storyline.
