Previous Post Agreed. Disney/marvel has the rights and they wont lose them. Best bet is to just settle up with a similar deal that other estates have and let the matter rest. Although, even though it won't happen, imagine if Marvel DID lose SPider-man and Dr Strange copyrights? it would take a crisis level event to retcon them out of MU history.

IT could be like the pilot named "Ghost Rider" in the old G I Joe comics. They couldn't use the name because of copyright cross over, so it was a running gag that no one remembered his name.

They could reference the Magician and the kid (what were their names???) vanishing defending earth from some magic attack (off screen) and move forward.

No one would like it, but they could.
