I do hope Mary Jane isn't side-lined for long. Apparently Zeb Wells is married to a very successful television actress, which would give him plenty of experience with writing someone that 'fits' the mould of that like MJ. I don't want Peter to be on the outs with her after all the build Spencer put into making them 'unbreakable'.
Their love was expelling demons from people's bodies for god's sake, Peter accidentally nuking a whole city wouldn't even phase her, she'd know he'd find a way to redeem himself and encourage him to try. Enough with this post-OMD cold shoulder routine.
I'm wondering if the 'Timeless' sneek peek with Ben moving to LA indicates Mary Jane might go back to Hollywood while Peter sorts out things in New York, and Ben accompanies her, maybe on Peter's instruction to keep an eye out. That would keep her in Spidey's orbit and allow her to bond a bit with Ben which we've scarcely gotten since he came back. I don't think Marvel will want to take a risk in breaking up Peter and MJ after Spencer spent his run demonstrating how 'unbreakable' they are, so I imagine it'll be a Bat/Cat situation where they give each other space and their relationship is on pause until the situation is over, but they're still committed.
If Peter's done with MJ and even Felicia again, it's safe to say I think I'll call it a day on collecting ASM after Beyond, Spencer's run, while it had it's flaws, was the happy ending I waited a decade for and it's the perfect jumping-off point for now
