I love curt swans work, one of the key attractions was always his ability to put across a characters mood and here's a fine example of his range from Ation Comics 333... 8\-\)

If Swan had any fault, it was that his work tended to be quiet, but he came from an era where DC seemed to value that. His draftsmanship, his character attitudes and emotions, his clear storytelling -- he was terrific.
