Superman is protected to whatever degree by a spell cast on him by the Phantom Stranger against Arion's mystical attacks, which include a "flaying" attack. Personally, I'd rather Superman take on his baddie in a major arc without the benefit of outside help. With respect to this arc, I would like a return to Superman being able to endure big magic force, energy and spell attacks by way of his invulnerability and willpower, however austerely. Hopefully, we will see some of this in this issue. _rc
