I suppose I make assumptions. When the current Zod and company showed up, Superman acted like he'd never encountered anyone named Zod before. And as I said in an earlier thread, the presence of Equus in Countdown and related titles pretty much negates the ending of "For Tomorrow" so at least one previous Zod story has been modified or thrown out altogether. Plus, didn't Johns (or Didio) tell us that the Superman corner of the universe had been rebooted since Infinite Crisis?

It's the same as when the current Supergirl debuted, Superman made no mention of ever having met a Supergirl or Kara Zor-El before. I suppose that's not the same as him actually saying "Hey! I never had a cousin named Kara before!" but it would be an odd omission if he still remembered Matrix, Linda and Cir-El but failed to mention them when the new Supergirl showed up.

> Wouldn't it be a kick if the three Pocket Universe Kryptonians got retconned into being versions of Non, Ursa, and Zod?

Retcon the current batch into having met Superman before in the Pocket Universe but not having been executed by him? Or having come from the PU but not having met Superman until the current story? Either way it'd be a big enough retcon of the old story that it would throw the existence of Matrix into question.

Geoff Johns and Matt Idelson have both said that Superman not encountered Zod before, post "Infinite Crisis". That means the Pocket Universe, "Return To Krypton", Polkestan (sp) and "For Tomorrow" Zod do not exist now. They said that because so many different versions exist and all have too many issues surrounding them, they opted to start from scratch, keeping it simple. Zod was in the Phantom Zone for all these years and only gets out in "Last Son".
